PSBC offers newborn hearing screening

Bring your newborn to Puget Sound Birth Center Kirkland and Renton for hearing screening with one of our midwives! For clients, screening is done at the 1 week postpartum visit. We also have community drop-in screening for everyone:

KIRKLAND Community drop-in hearing screening:
1st Tuesdays from 10-11:30
3rd Wednesdays from 9:30-11

RENTON Community drop-in hearing screening hours:
2nd Tuesdays from 9-10:00

The CDC recommends all babies have a hearing screening by 1 month of age. The equipment is designed to test your baby's ability to hear the entire tonal range which is important to speech development.
