Brittany is not currently on call. She is providing prenatal/postnatal appointments at this time. Brittany’s bio:
My journey to becoming a midwife began with my own first pregnancy, when I had the opportunity to experience midwifery care. I was drawn to the way my midwife approached pregnancy and birth—not simply as medical events to be managed, but as meaningful experiences where I was an active participant. That experience sparked an interest that grew into a calling and, eventually, a career devoted to walking alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of life with a new baby.
I have been attending births since 2012 and became a Licensed Midwife in Washington State in 2019. I have spent my career caring with a variety of families both in homes and birth centers.
What I love most about midwifery is the relationship that develops between families and their care team. I believe people deserve to understand their options, have the time and information they need to make decisions, and feel genuinely heard throughout their care. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, informed consent, respect for physiologic birth, and the understanding that there is no single “right” way to experience pregnancy or birth. I see my role as bringing clinical knowledge, experience, and a steady presence to the room while protecting and respecting each family's values, instincts, and choices.
Outside of midwifery, I am a mom with a busy blended family. So when I'm not talking about pregnancy and babies, there's usually plenty happening at home! I love spending time with my partner & our 6 kiddos, traveling, getting outside in the Pacific Northwest via backpacking or paddle boarding with my corgi. I’m also passionate about being involved in local politics and organizing.
I am so happy to be joining the community at Puget Sound Birth Center and to work alongside a team that shares my commitment to respectful, individualized, family-centered care. Being invited into such an important and intimate season of a family's life is something I never take for granted, and I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
